One time Dan Backslide got kicked out of college, then he smoked and did a lot of drugs, then he kidnapped a woman and got beat up for it. There's the engrossing, rich tapestry of Dan Backslide.

Okay, also, given how fancy PU is, I think its fair to assume that the Backslide family is also very rich, at least at some point. I think we can infer that his antics has gotten him disowned from his family tree, which is partially for his current interest in Dora Stanpipe. Maybe a good portion of his quirks are a result of his rebellion of that traditional life his parents wanted OH MY GOD You can't make me dive deeper into the history of Dan Backslide you cna't fucking make me

Personality: In order to finish judging these apps, you are forced to pass by the application found in only the grubbiest and most dangerous hands. A place of unsavory repute. Within this very app is an explanation of the personality of Daniel "Dan" Backslide. Coward, bully, cad, thief, and archenemy of the Dover Boys. This thesis will examine each of those main qualities of Dan Backslide's unpleasant personality.

Coward: Dan Backslide is absolutely terrified of direct confrontation. In most scenarios, he prefers to use underhanded tricks and schemes to reach his goals. His kidnapping of Dora results from the realization that the Dover Boys are not there to protect her, suggesting how terrified he is of fighting them on his own. Yet as soon as he himself is in danger, he quickly calls for their help. Violence is, by and large, beyond him and avoids it whenever possible. He might impulsively result in violence, but he can be overpowered quite easily.

Bully - Kidnapping people is generally considered bull-ish behavior by standard cultural norms. He clearly planned on terrorizing Dora, despite the fact he was blatantly more interested in her money than her looks or personality. By standard definitions of "bully," he absolutely is one.

Cad - a "cad" is defined as "a man who behaves dishonorably, especially toward a woman." We've touched on his plan to prey on Dora but he spends his day-to-day behaving in a general dishonorable fashion. He drinks and smokes away the day. He disguises his identity to commit various crimes. He constantly "squanders his misspent life" with lazy, self-serving activities.

Thief - A RUNABOUT! I'LL STEAL IT! NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW!

Archemey of the Dover Boys - The Dover Boys, in essence, are the status quo. They're the Man, the popular and prestigious members of society, and receive all the benefits of their popularity. Dan Backslide lives on the outskirts, in places of ill-repute and carving out his own life outside of approved cultural standards. Dan himself symbolizes a resistance against the status quo. The Dover Boys are handsome, clean young lads, while Dan is slimy and odd-looking. Where the Dover Boys might choose a quiet tone, Dan will burst into random shouting. While the Dover Boys seem to genuinely care for Dora, Dan is more interested in acquiring her father's money for his own ends. Even traditional "jokes" aren't really his interest, preferring nonsense references and non-sequiturs. He's a bizarre, strange man who doesn't quite fit within his time and society.

Anyway my point is Dan Backslide is a shitposting gay man who just wants to get high and steal.

Powers/Abilities: He can do real killer vape tricks.
